About this policy
Capsule is an Android website organizer and browser with optional focus tools, provided by Guillermo Bravo Morante (gbravomorante). This policy covers the testing app dev.gbravomorante.capsule as available on 14 September 2026. VPN integration is not included in this version.
Websites and network requests
When you open a website, Capsule connects to that site and the resources it loads. Those recipients can receive your IP address, requested URLs, browser information and any information you choose to submit, including account details. Website operators have their own privacy policies. Popup blocking, tracking protection and supported cookie-banner rejection do not guarantee that all ads or tracking are removed.
Browser engine and downloaded models
Capsule includes a modified Mozilla GeckoView engine and its third-party components. Browser functionality can contact external services for requested content, protection resources, and language-model downloads when available. Translation uses the engine’s local translation feature; downloading a model requires a network connection. Ordinary browsing requires a connection to the websites you visit.
Local storage and accounts
Capsule stores website shortcuts, titles, addresses, settings, focus rules, downloaded or saved files, and browser data on the device. Separate capsules use separate browser contexts for ordinary site data. Website accounts are accounts with those websites; there is no Capsule-operated sign-in service or developer-operated synchronization. Android cloud backup and app-data transfer are disabled.
Optional website permissions
Camera, microphone, location and local-network access are requested for website features when needed. The app asks for permission, and you may deny optional permissions or revoke them through Android settings. If you allow a website to use a permission, the website may process the resulting information under its own policy. Android file pickers let you select files for uploads or choose where downloads are saved.
Focus tools
The optional phone-app focus feature uses usage access to identify foreground apps selected by you and overlay permission to display a focus screen. These checks and rules are handled locally. Focus is a voluntary aid that can be bypassed by stopping the app, revoking permissions or certain device behaviors. It does not suspend other apps, silence their notifications or provide parental control.
Biometrics, private visits and deletion
Biometric locks use Android’s biometric service; Capsule does not receive or store fingerprint templates. Locks control access to screens and do not provide a separate encrypted storage vault. Private visits and ordinary website data have different storage behavior. Moving a capsule to Trash retains its account data for restoration and is not permanent deletion. To remove all local app data, use Android’s app-storage controls or uninstall the app; files exported outside the app must be removed separately.
Exports and sharing
Settings exports contain configuration information such as saved website addresses and labels. They do not transfer website login sessions, cookies or passwords. Files and configuration that you choose to share are sent to the destination app or service you select. Review exports before sharing private addresses or labels.
Advertising, children and support
Capsule does not include a developer-operated advertising or analytics service and the developer does not sell browsing history. Websites can display their own ads and collect information. Capsule provides access to the open web and is not a child-safe filtered browser. If you email support, the developer receives and uses the information you send to answer the request; do not send passwords, cookies or private browsing databases.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated when relevant features or data handling change. A future VPN feature will require its own provider, permission and data-handling disclosures before it is included in a release.
