3D Digitisation Specialist — Physical & Forensic Anthropology

Official title: Co-responsible for the laboratory’s 3D department

Helped run the laboratory’s 3D department and surface-scanned thousands of skeletal elements for original research, collaborative projects and student work.

Responsibilities and methods
  • Planned and captured high-resolution surface data with several scanner families, with particular depth in Artec Eva and Artec Spider workflows.
  • Handled acquisition, registration, fusion, mesh clean-up and quality control in Artec Studio.
  • Produced research- and teaching-ready 3D models while preserving anatomical detail and documenting acquisition decisions.
  • Supported researchers and students with scanner selection, capture strategy, troubleshooting and downstream mesh preparation.
  • Developed a Bachelor’s thesis around 3D scanning in physical anthropology.
