Test my apps and games

Help me improve these early Android releases. Pick what interests you: you do not need to test everything or have technical experience.

1. Join the testing group2. Choose an app

Only the group owner can view the membership list. You do not need to post messages in the group to participate.

Getting started

  1. Join once

    Open GBM App Testers and sign in with the same Google account you use in the Play Store. Choose “Join group”. You do not need to send me your email or wait for an invitation.

  2. Choose and join each test

    Return here and open the link for an app you want to try. On Google Play, choose “Become a tester” or “Join the programme”. You must opt into each app separately.

  3. Install from Google Play

    Follow the download link on the test page to Google Play, install the app and open it. Joining the group does not install anything automatically.

Already invited by email? Use that same Google account. If you already tested Spin Arena, follow the instructions on its card to move from the internal test to the closed test.

Join the group, then opt into this test with the same Google account you use in the Play Store. Existing invitations remain valid.

Previously joined Spin Arena’s internal test?

Before joining the closed test, leave the internal test using the same Google account you use in the Play Store. Pausing the internal track does not replace this step.

  1. Export your save from the game settings as a backup. Keep the game installed.
  2. Open the internal test to leave and choose “Leave the programme”.
  3. Join the testing group if you have not already. Then open Spin Arena’s closed test and choose “Become a tester” or “Join the programme”.
  4. Follow the Google Play link to install or update. If the change has not appeared yet, allow some time and reopen the page.

Internal-test time does not count towards the 14 days of closed testing. If you never joined the internal test, go straight to the closed test.

An offline arena game: steer a spinning top against AI opponents, collect new spinners and experiment with abilities across four arenas.

What to try

Try the tutorial, controls, different arenas and busy battles. Tell me about performance, difficulty and anything that is confusing.

Strategy board game

Few & Many

Closed test available

Join the group, then opt into this test with the same Google account you use in the Play Store. Existing invitations remain valid.

An asymmetric strategy board game where a few powerful pieces face a larger opposing force. Play on a 2D or 3D board and paint figures in the workshop.

What to try

Play both sides, try different objectives and check whether either side feels too strong. Try painting a figure, closing the app and returning to it.

Browsing & focus

Join the group, then opt into this test with the same Google account you use in the Play Store. Existing invitations remain valid.

Give websites their own space, keep browsing sessions separate, use reading tools and set voluntary focus timers for distracting apps. VPN integration is planned and is not included yet.

What to try

Try everyday websites, saved pages and background audio. Focus sessions need optional Android permissions; they are a personal aid and can be stopped. This test requires an ARM64 Android phone.

German learning tool

German Grammar Navigator

Closed test available

Join the group, then opt into this test with the same Google account you use in the Play Store. Existing invitations remain valid.

A practical German grammar reference with interactive tables, cheat sheets, English–German translation, speech tools and locally saved favourites.

What to try

Try the grammar tables, translation, pronunciation and favourites. Download translation models with an internet connection first, then check offline use. Report incorrect explanations or awkward layouts.

How to help with testing

  • These are test versions: expect occasional bugs and changes. Use them when it suits you and try the features that interest you.
  • To help with closed testing, please stay opted in for at least 14 days and use the app on several occasions during that time. Installing it and never opening it is not useful testing.
  • Send feedback in English or Spanish: what you tried, what happened, what you expected and your phone model. A screenshot without private information is helpful.
  • You do not need to post a public review. Send private feedback through Google Play or email me directly. You can leave a test on its Google Play page whenever you want.
